Patience, Reflection, Humility RYE
Like last year's bourbon barrel-aged version, this bottle contains three different Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged stouts blended to taste. One high-gravity sweet stout (Buffalo Trace Rye - 13 months), one 'modern, balanced Stout' (Heaven Hill Rye - 19 months), and a third more classic Russian Imperial-style Stout (Wild Turkey Rye - 15 months).
The result is layered and complex: bittersweet cocoa, molasses, toasted rye bread crust and warm baking spice. The finish is long, smooth and well spirited — rye spice lingering over dark chocolate, buoyed by soft intertwined roasted notes.
